857 FNUS75 KSLC 161008 FWSSLC Spot Forecast for Spring Canyon...USFS National Weather Service Salt Lake City UT 408 AM MDT Thu Oct 16 2025 Forecast is based on ignition time of 0600 MDT on October 16. If conditions become unrepresentative...contact the National Weather Service. .DISCUSSION...A low pressure system will continue to bring periods of snow into the morning hours before tapering to scattered showers by this afternoon. Additional snowfall of 2-4" is the most likely range this morning with water equivalent in the .20-.33" range. A more stable airmass will follow for Friday and remain in place through Saturday allowing for a warming and drying trend but with limited ventilation. By Sunday southwesterly flow will strengthen ahead of the next cold front, which will cross the area Sunday night. This will be accompanied by a band of snow Sunday night into Monday morning. This storm system will be fairly quick moving, thus snow amounts of 1-3" with water equivalent of .10-.25" looks most likely. A gradual warming and drying trend will follow for the middle to latter portion of next week. .TODAY... Sky/weather.........Mostly cloudy (90-100 percent cloud cover).
