...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM THURSDAY TO 11 AM MST
FRIDAY ABOVE 7500 FT...

* WHAT...Wet snow expected above 7500 ft. Total snow accumulations
  between 3 and 10 inches, locally up to 12 inches in the Bear River
  Range.

* WHERE...Wasatch Mountains I-80 North above 7500 ft.

* WHEN...From 2 PM Thursday to 11 AM MST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Winter driving conditions are expected, especially over
  Logan Summit.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Heaviest snowfall is expected late Thursday
  evening into early Friday morning.

FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Snow accumulations between 4 to 12 inches
  expected. Locally higher totals above 1 foot possible in the Upper
  Cottonwoods.

* WHERE...Wasatch Mountains South of I-80 and Western Uinta
  Mountains.

* WHEN...From 8 AM Thursday to 11 AM MST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Winter driving conditions are expected.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Snow begins Thursday morning, with a potential for a lull in the
  late afternoon and evening. Snow reinvigorates in the late
  evening, with heaviest snowfall rates expected Thursday night into
  early Friday morning.
  - Snow levels will increase through the day Thursday, peaking
  around 8500 ft in the evening before dropping to around 7000 ft
  early Friday morning. Snowfall accumulations will be heavily
  dependent on elevation as a result.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM MST
THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Freezing rain expected. Total ice accumulations of up to
  one tenth of an inch, particularly for Utah`s West Desert from the
  Salt Flats to the Nevada border. Additional freezing rain
  accumulations great than a hundredth of an inch is expected on the
  north end of the Tooele Valley along the I-80 corridor.

* WHERE...Great Salt Lake Desert and Mountains and Tooele and Rush
  Valleys.

* WHEN...Until 11 AM MST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
  likely become slick and hazardous. Winter driving conditions are
  expected. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday
  morning commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The greatest impacts and highest confidence
  for freezing rain are expected across the West Desert during the
  morning hours, however, there is some potential periods (15-30%
  chance) freezing rain lingers into the afternoon.

Additionally, there is upwards of a 30 to 40 percent chance of
freezing rain accumulations outside of the advisory area,
particularly along the northern Wasatch Front west of the I-15
corridor.
