adjacent foothills Tuesday due to northerly winds, hot
temperatures and lowering humidities...

Cooler temperatures continue through Monday. Strong high
pressure will result in hot temperatures with lowering humidity
mid week. Hottest temperatures expected on Wednesday. A few showers
are possible on Monday, mainly over mountains from Plumas County
northward and northern Sacramento valley. Isolated afternoon showers
or thunderstorms may develop over the high Sierra late this week,
mainly south of I-80.
