...Elevated Fire Weather Conditions in the northern Sacramento
Valley and adjacent mountains/foothills, Burney Basin, and Sierra
Foothills Friday through Monday due to Hot Temperatures, Low
Humidities, and Breezy Winds...
.DISCUSSION...
Building high pressure aloft will result in hot and dry conditions
Friday and into next week. The hot temperatures, poor overnight
recoveries, daytime humidities nearing single digits, and breezy
winds will result in elevated fire weather conditions across the
northern Sacramento Valley and adjacent foothills/mountains,
Burney Basin, and the Sierra foothills. Increased flow through the
Coast Range on Saturday and increased northerly winds along the
I-5 corridor in the Sacramento Valley on Sunday will bring
additional fire weather concerns. Temperatures trend slightly
cooler around midweek, but will remain above-normal.
