Mostly cloudy skies at the burn site tomorrow at planned ignition time.
Generally, light winds from the south in the early afternoon then a period
of easterly winds develop Tuesday night. Mixing heights will fall to
around 400 feet/ground level during the night. By Wednesday evening, an
Atmospheric River is forecast to make landfall and bring widespread
rain, gusty winds, thunderstorm chances, and cooler temperatures to
the region. Heaviest rain, strongest winds, thunderstorm chances highest
on Thursday. Rain totals from Wednesday evening through Friday are forecast
to be in the 1.75 to 2.25" inches of rain. Gusty southerly winds Thursday
in the 30 to 35 mph range. Activity will become more scattered on Saturday,
then Sunday another wave of moisture is expected to arrive. Details remain
uncertain on the weekend activity at this time.
