Mixing heights today look to top out at around 7000 feet at 2pm EDT this afternoon. Transport winds will fortunately stay at or just below 10 mph and are expected to predominantly remain out of the west until around 4pm where a brief shift could occur from the seabreeze rolling through the area. This may also lead to an increase in the winds and wind gusts for roughly 30 minutes. Moisture will similarly increase with the passage of the seabreeze. Some isolated showers or thunderstorms could develop along the seabreeze this afternoon; however, the approaching cold front currently just north of Dothan Alabama and Albany Georgia is expected to push south throughout the rest of the morning and afternoon before initiating storms in the Florida Panhandle and Big Bend regions this evening. The best chances for these storms is between 6-9pm EDT. Overall, there are no huge fire weather concerns, but it will remain dangerously hot outside today, with heat index values approaching 108 degrees.
