Surf Zone Forecast
National Weather Service Tallahassee FL
1210 PM EDT Tue Jun 17 2025

.THE SURF ZONE FORECAST GENERAL OUTLOOK...

After coordination with local beach officials and observing stronger
southerly flow at Bay County beaches, there is now a high risk of rip
currents. With winds forecast to remain elevated at least into
Wednesday, have left the high rip current risk in place through then.

Light southerly to southwesterly winds and surf of 1 to 2 feet will
result in a moderate rip current risk for all beaches again today.
This will continue through the week, though the State Park beaches
of Gulf County and Franklin County beaches may bump up to a high
risk given a slight uptick in surf by mid to late week.

Based on communication with area beach officials, the following flags
are flying at area beaches:

Walton........................Yellow
Bay...........................Red
State Park Gulf Beaches.......Yellow
West Facing Gulf Beaches......Yellow
South Facing Gulf Beaches.....Yellow
Franklin......................Yellow
