.THE SURF ZONE FORECAST GENERAL OUTLOOK...
Westerly winds will increase to around 15 mph this afternoon and this
will bring a high risk of rip currents to Panhandle and west-facing
Gulf county beaches this afternoon. This threat should subside late
tonight with a moderate risk returning on Tuesday. Low to moderate
risk should prevail into the middle of the week before risks increase
next week as winds become south and southwesterly ahead of our next
frontal system.
Based on communication with area beach officials, the following flags
are flying at area beaches:

West Facing Gulf Beaches......Red
South Facing Gulf Beaches.....Yellow
