356 FZUS52 KTBW 100052 CWFTBW Coastal Waters Forecast for Florida National Weather Service Tampa Bay Ruskin FL 852 PM EDT Fri May 9 2025 Gulf coastal waters from Bonita Beach to the mouth of the Suwannee River out to 60 NM. Important notice to mariners...marine forecasts are issued at least four times a day. Boaters on extended trips should routinely monitor subsequent forecast issuances and updates for the latest marine weather information. The wave heights are forecast as significant wave height which is the average of the highest one-third of the waves. The highest waves may rarely be twice the significant wave height. The winds and seas near thunderstorms may be higher than forecast. GMZ800-101330- Synopsis for the coastal waters from Bonita Beach to Suwannee River- 852 PM EDT Fri May 9 2025 .SYNOPSIS... A predominant southeast through southwest wind flow around 10-15 knots will prevail over the eastern gulf waters through the weekend and into early next week. Main hazard each day will be scattered showers and thunderstorms capable of producing locally gusty winds. A surface low and frontal boundary will develop over the central gulf and move eastward over the weekend, which will bring a very wet weather pattern over the eastern gulf waters with even higher chances of showers and thunderstorms on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
