Important notice to mariners...marine forecasts are issued at least four times a day. Boaters on extended trips should routinely monitor subsequent forecast issuances and updates for the latest marine weather information. The wave heights are forecast as significant wave height which is the average of the highest one-third of the waves. The highest waves may rarely be twice the significant wave height. Quiet weather pattern through Tuesday with high pressure in place. Winds 15 kts or less through Monday, gradually increasing by midweek. Still significant uncertainty regarding possible tropical development in the Caribbean Sea that looks to lift north into the Gulf toward the end of the week. Very low confidence with winds and seas forecast for the Wednesday night through Friday timeframe.
