Fire Weather Planning Forecast for North-Central Montana
National Weather Service Great Falls MT
229 PM MDT Wed Jul 16 2025

.DISCUSSION...

A passing weather will bring widely scattered showers and
thunderstorms and a northerly wind shift Thursday afternoon and
evening, with the most widespread storm activity expected along
and north of the highway 2 corridor. The stronger storms will be
capable of localized strong, gusty winds, hail, and brief
downpours in addition to lightning. Afternoon temperatures on
Thursday will warm closer to average with minimum relative
humidity values falling to near critical levels over the southern
zones. The frontal passage will bring good humidity recoveries for
all areas Thursday night and Friday morning.
