802 FNUS55 KTFX 030905 FWFTFX Fire Weather Planning Forecast for North-Central Montana National Weather Service Great Falls MT 305 AM MDT Wed Sep 3 2025 .DISCUSSION... Temperatures will be warm this afternoon before a cold front pushes through this afternoon into early Thursday dropping highs 10-15 degrees for Thursday. Winds will start to pick up Thursday morning and last through much of the day with maximum gusts up to 35 mph possible. This front will also bring another push of wildfire smoke from Canada which may reduce visibility and air quality across north-central Montana, particularly on Thursday. Otherwise cooler temperatures will continue through Friday before gradually warming back up over the week. Dry conditions are expected to last through at least Friday.
