Fire Weather Planning Forecast for North-Central Montana
National Weather Service Great Falls MT
115 AM MDT Sun Aug 3 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Showers and thunderstorms are less numerous today, with best
coverage over northern districts this afternoon and evening. Showers
and thunderstorms become more widespread again Monday afternoon and
evening, bringing an increased risk for strong winds and large hail.

Looking ahead a bit, a wave passes across the region early Tuesday,
resulting in limited shower and thunderstorm coverage, most favored
in northeastern districts. Brief ridging looks to keep the area dry
Wednesday before a series of troughs begin their approach toward
next weekend. Friday and Saturday are looking increasingly likely to
be cooler than average, with at least low-end chances for
precipitation. -AM
