.DISCUSSION...

Isolated showers and thunderstorms developing near terrain will be
around from mid-afternoon through the evening today, though
confidence in these occurring has waned slightly given wildfire
smoke across the region. Nonetheless, any thunderstorm that
develops will be capable of briefly gusty winds, small hail, cloud
to ground lightning, and briefly heavy rain. The overall risk for
excessive rainfall leading to flash flooding has decreased
compared to Wednesday, but is still non-zero.

Wildfire smoke will be around through afternoon and evening,
though significant impacts to air quality are not forecast at this
time.
