.DISCUSSION...
A disturbance in the moderate northwesterly flow aloft will bring
gusty westerly surface winds by afternoon, along with a chance of
light showers and possibly a thunderstorm. The main threat from
these storms will be erratic wind gusts up to 45 mph. The probability
for 0.10 inches or more of precipitation from the showers is 10
percent or less. Weak high pressure aloft will then start to move
into the area tonight into Friday, for decreasing clouds and wind.
Although temperatures today will be below seasonal averages, afternoon
humidity will likely fall below 30 percent, and slight warming
on Friday will likely lower afternoon humidity to near 20 percent.
