.NOW...
At 450 PM, scattered showers and thunderstorms were moving
eastward across the Rocky Mountain Front, and across Southwest MT.
The storms were generally moving northeast at 15 mph.

The main impact from the storms early this evening will be brief
heavy rainfall and occasional lightning strikes. Some small hail
is also possible from a stronger storm.

Those with outdoor plans this evening should be alert for the
potential thunderstorm activity. Reminder, lighting can strike up
to 10 miles away from a storm, so if you see lightning or hear
thunder, go inside until the storm passes.
