The rain is beginning to change to snow at all elevations of Southwest MT this evening. At 745 PM, moderate snowfall is occurring around Norris Hill and the city of Bozeman. The rain will slowly continue to change over to snow elsewhere over Southwest MT through the late evening hours. Snow accumulations of 1 to 2 inches will be possible at lower elevations, mostly on grassy areas. In the mountains, up to 5 inches of snowfall is possible. Since this is a wet and heavy snow, locations that receive over 3 inches of snowfall could start to have impacts to trees and power lines. Those traveling through Southwest MT this evening should be prepared for winter driving conditions, along with areas of poor driving visibility. $$ Brusda
