for the following rivers in Kansas...

  Marais Des Cygnes River above Reading affecting Lyon and Osage
  Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars
through flooded areas.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM THIS MORNING TO THURSDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Marais Des Cygnes River above Reading.

* WHEN...From this morning to Thursday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, Low lying areas along the river flood. At
  21.0 feet, County Road Y 5 near the gage floods, 3 miles north of
  Reading.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 5:45 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 17.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late
    this morning to a crest of 20.5 feet this afternoon. It will then
    fall below flood stage late this afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 19.0 feet.
