...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CDT THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of northeast Kansas, including the following
  county, Marshall.

* WHEN...Until 900 AM CDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 728 PM CDT, emergency management reported flooding of and
    in the area of the Highway 87 and Highway 9 intersection near
    Vliets in East Central Nemaha County.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    mainly rural areas of East Central Marshall County


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
