.DISCUSSION...
Cloud cover and patchy fog give way to sunny skies through the
morning as a cold front pushes through the area. Northwest winds
increase to 20-25 MPH sustained with gusts of 30-40 MPH through
the day. Drier air builds in behind the front, dropping relative
humidity values to 35-55 percent this afternoon. This will lead
to a few hours of high fire danger across portions of the area,
mainly along and west of a Hiawatha to Council Grove line. Winds
gradually weaken overnight and through the day Wednesday, falling
below 10 MPH by late Wednesday afternoon. Relative humidity values
bottom out around 30-40 percent Wednesday afternoon.
