.DISCUSSION...
Thunderstorm chances increase from north to south through the day
today, with more scattered storms developing by late afternoon
and rain becoming widespread overnight. Rain should clear out by
mid-day Wednesday. In the meantime, a cold front will slowly move
through the area today, with this and clouds/rain leading to much
cooler temperatures in north central and far northeast KS this
afternoon compared to areas south. This also means RH will be
higher north than south of I-70. Winds start out southerly south
of the front, become light and variable as the front moves
through, then turn to the north/northeast for all areas by late
this afternoon. North central KS should see the strongest winds,
gusting to 25-30 mph at times, sustained 15-20mph.
