.DISCUSSION...
While fuels continue to dry out given lack of rain and hot
temperatures, overall greenness remains high enough to preclude
any fire weather concerns. Winds increase from the south-southeast
this morning with gust of 15-25 MPH this afternoon, strongest
across north central Kansas. Relative humidity will fall to 30-50%
this afternoon. There is a low chance for a pop-up shower or storm
during the afternoon, but most will stay dry. Winds become
south-southwesterly on Tuesday with gusts around 20 MPH. Minimum
relative humidity of 25-40% is forecast Tuesday afternoon. A cold
front will move through Tuesday evening into Wednesday, bringing
in relatively cooler air along with chances for showers and
storms.
