.DISCUSSION...
Fire weather concerns are low due to high RH values.
A weak boundary is expected to set up just north of the
KS state line today and act as a focus for thunderstorm
development. South of the boundary, a humid airmass will
remain in place with minimum RH values at 50 percent or
better. Surface winds are forecast to be from the
southwest in the 10 to 20 MPH range. This combined with
mixing heights around 4 KFT should provide excellent
conditions for smoke dispersal.
A stormy pattern is expected to persist through the
weekend with some potential for storms with heavy rain
just about every afternoon and evening. The pattern looks
to shift by the middle of next week with hot and humid
weather setting up.
