.DISCUSSION...
Fuels continue to dry out given lack of precipitation and hot
conditions, but overall greenness remains high enough to preclude
fire weather concerns. Another hot day in store today with highs
reaching 100 degrees. South-southwest winds become gusty after
sunrise with gusts of 20-25 MPH through the day. Minimum relative
humidity values of 25-35% are expected this afternoon. A cold
front moves in from the northwest late this afternoon into the
evening. Storms are expected to develop along the boundary across
north central and northeast Kansas, a couple of which could be
strong to severe. Winds become northerly overnight into Wednesday
as the front slowly works south across the area.
