.DISCUSSION...
South winds increase mid morning through the early
evening from 20 to 30 mph sustained, gusting up to
45 mph. Min RH values drop to near 25 percent in
north central Kansas to around 50 percent in eastern
Kansas. Given the strong winds and high mixing heights,
smoke dispersal rates are optimal. Scattered severe
storm chances increase in the late afternoon and evening
across north central Kansas. Additional, more widespread
severe storms are likely Monday afternoon and evening
for all of northeast Kansas. Cooler and drier airmass
returns to region by Tuesday.
