...EXTREME HEAT WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central Kansas, east central
Kansas, north central Kansas and northeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

The Extreme Heat Warning remains in effect through 7 PM this evening.
Afternoon heat index values will reach 103 to 109 degrees.

Storms develop along a cold front late this afternoon into the
evening across northern Kansas. A couple of storms could be strong
to severe with damaging wind gusts being the main hazard, although
hail up to quarter size is also possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Storms may redevelop along the front Wednesday afternoon along and
south of Interstate 35. A storm or two could be strong to severe with
damaging wind gusts being the main hazard.
