.DISCUSSION... Near record temperatures are forecast again Friday
with very low shower and thunderstorm chances. South to
southwesterly winds will increase on Saturday and continued hot
weather along with lower humidity values will increase fire
weather concerns across much of eastern Oklahoma and western
Arkansas. The stronger winds will occur across northeast Oklahoma
on Saturday and will lead to higher grassland fire spread rates.
Be mindful of ongoing burn bans across the region. A cold front
will move into the forecast area Sunday and move east of the
region by early Monday. Rain chances will increase along with
cooler temperatures for early next week.
