.DISCUSSION...
Fire weather conditions remain an increasing concern as fuels
continue to dry. Periodic gusty winds through the afternoon with
hot temperatures should be expected. A weak front will remain
stalled across the area on Monday. A few thunderstorms are
forecast mainly into southeast Oklahoma on Monday. Some of these
storms may produce localized gusty downburst winds, which could
affect any ongoing fire fighting efforts. Widespread meaningful
rainfall is not expected. Very hot and dry weather returns
Tuesday and Wednesday of next week, although potential for
another brief cooldown with low rain chances exists late next
week.
