THUNDERSTORMS WITH DANGEROUS LIGHTNING. RISK...Limited. AREA...Far northeast Oklahoma and far northwest Arkansas. ONSET...After 9 PM. DISCUSSION... A slight chance for thunderstorms will exist this evening and overnight across far northeast Oklahoma and far northwest Arkansas. Storms are expected to develop across central Kansas this evening ahead of slow moving cold front. These storms will spread east and southward before gradually weakening. A few storms could spread into far northeast Oklahoma and far northwest Arkansas overnight and a brief strong storm is possible. Widespread severe weather is not expected. SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT... Spotter Activation Not Expected. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday. THURSDAY...No Hazards. FRIDAY and SATURDAY...Thunderstorm Potential. SUNDAY through TUESDAY...No Hazards. EXTENDED DISCUSSION... A stronger cold front is expected to arrive Friday, and will focus storm chances that shift from north and south across the area through Saturday. While some uncertainty exists in the details, there is potential for heavier rains across southern Oklahoma late Saturday into Sunday.
