ONSET...Ongoing.

SIGNIFICANT WINDS.
RISK...Limited.
AREA...Eastern Oklahoma and Western Arkansas.
ONSET...Midday.

DISCUSSION...
Patchy fog will continue in parts of eastern Oklahoma and western
Arkansas through mid morning, with visibilities reduced to a mile
or less at times. Toward midday, a cold front will begin to move
southward across the area, leading to the development of gusty
northwesterly winds this afternoon. Expect wind gusts around 25
mph.

SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT...
Spotter Activation Not Expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.
WEDNESDAY...High Wind Potential.
THURSDAY...No Hazards.
FRIDAY...High Wind Potential.
SATURDAY...Thunderstorm and High Wind Potential.
SUNDAY...Thunderstorm Potential.
MONDAY...Winter Weather Potential.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Thunderstorm chances increase in association with a weekend storm
system. In addition to the lightning potential, widespread rain
could lead to the development of a heavy rain threat both Saturday
and Sunday. The highest rainfall totals and risk for excessive
rainfall currently focuses across southeast Oklahoma and into
parts of western Arkansas.

Much colder air will follow the front that is associated with the
weekend storm system. Depending on the track and strength of
another system early next week, wintry precipitation and impacts
may occur. Enough spread in the available data exists at this
range to make details, such as amounts, location and timing, very
uncertain. Currently, a 5 to 10 percent chance for minor winter
weather impacts exists across much of the area through Monday
night.

EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PLANNING STATEMENT...
With potential for a winter weather event immediately following
the holiday weekend, keep checking the latest forecast information.
Expect details to be refined with time. Consider preparing winter
weather emergency response plans.
