ONSET...Ongoing. DISCUSSION... Showers, with a low chance of thunderstorms, are ongoing across parts of eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas early this morning and are expected to continue through the day. The afternoon hours will feature the best chance of scattered thunderstorms, focused in areas south of Interstate 44. A locally heavy rain threat will continue in southeast Oklahoma and west central Arkansas, with amounts up to an inch expected to be common and local totals in the 2 to 3 inch range possible. The heaviest rains are forecast to occur through the morning. SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT... Spotter Activation Not Expected. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday. SATURDAY...Thunderstorm Potential. SUNDAY THROUGH THURSDAY...No Hazards. EXTENDED DISCUSSION... A low chance of thunderstorms will exist Saturday afternoon across parts of southeast Oklahoma.
