This Outlook is for Northwest and West Central Arkansas as well as
much of Eastern Oklahoma.

THUNDERSTORMS WITH DANGEROUS LIGHTNING.
RISK...Limited.
AREA...Eastern Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas.
ONSET...Afternoon.

DANGEROUS HEAT.

AREA...Eastern Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas.
ONSET...Afternoon.

DISCUSSION...
Dangerous heat index values will develop again today with
readings of 105 to 110 degrees common across much of eastern
Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. Take frequent breaks and drink
plenty of water for any prolonged outdoor activities.
Also, isolated afternoon thunderstorms are expected today
across eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. Any storms
which do develop could produce locally gusty winds.

SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT...
Spotter Activation Not Expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.
TUESDAY...Thunderstorm Potential...Dangerous Heat Potential.
WEDNESDAY and THURSDAY...Thunderstorm Potential.
FRIDAY through SUNDAY...No Hazards.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Dangerous heat will continue on Tuesday ahead of weak cold
front which will move across the region late Tuesday through
Thursday. Thunderstorm chances will increase as the front
slowly passes with isolated heavy rainfall amounts possible.
Slightly cooler temperatures will follow the cold front and
drier weather is expected by late week.
