THUNDERSTORMS WITH DANGEROUS LIGHTNING.
RISK...Elevated.
AREA...Eastern Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas.
ONSET...Ongoing.

DISCUSSION...
Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will remain possible
this evening and overnight as a weak cold front moves into the
area. A strong storm or two will be possible early this evening to
the northwest of Tulsa, with gusty winds and small hail possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.
TUESDAY and WEDNESDAY...Thunderstorm Potential.
THURSDAY...No Hazards.
FRIDAY through SUNDAY...Thunderstorm Potential.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Upper level low pressure and the weak front will remain over the
region into Tuesday with continued chances for showers and storms.
The greater potential for storms Tuesday is across southeast
Oklahoma into western Arkansas before the front exits the region.
Tuesday night and Wednesday should feature dry weather before
another cold front brings additional shower and low storm chances
to the region Wednesday night. A stronger cold front looks to
move through the region Friday into the weekend, bringing
additional chances of showers and thunderstorms. A locally heavy
rain threat may develop during the weekend.
