DISCUSSION...
Showers and isolated thunderstorms ongoing this afternoon across western
Arkansas will decrease in coverage this evening. Additional storms will
develop overnight and become widespread across much of northeast Oklahoma
and far northwest Arkansas during the early morning hours. Storms will
continue to spread southward across the region during the day Thursday.
A few stronger wind gusts will be possible late tonight but the overall
severe weather risk is expected to remain very low. Heavy rains are likely
to accumulate overnight across portions of the region and flooding may
become a concern before sunrise across portions of northeast Oklahoma
and far northwest Arkansas. The heavy rain and flooding risk will continue
into the day Thursday.

THURSDAY...Thunderstorm and Heavy Rain Potential.
FRIDAY through TUESDAY...No Hazards.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Widespread showers and thunderstorms will be ongoing Thursday morning
and spread southeastward through the day. A few severe storms are possible
primarily during the afternoon hours across southeast Oklahoma. Heavy rains
and flooding will become an increasing concern and rises on area main stem
rivers are expected. The heavy rains will end from north to south by
Thursday evening. The weather pattern is forecast to remain mainly dry
and mild through the upcoming holiday weekend.
