This Outlook is for Northwest and West Central Arkansas as well as
much of Eastern Oklahoma.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORM.
RISK...Limited.
AREA...Parts of northeast Oklahoma along the Kansas border.
ONSET...Late Afternoon.

DISCUSSION...
Late this afternoon and into the evening, isolated to scattered
thunderstorms are expected to develop across portions of Kansas in
the vicinity of a weak cold front approaching the area, eventually
moving southward into parts of northeast Oklahoma. Organized
severe weather is not expected, but a very limited chance of
locally damaging winds will exist with the strongest storms
through mid evening. Locally heavy rainfall may also occur. The
front will continue to be a focus for additional development to
the south and east into early Tuesday morning.

In addition, showers, with a low chance of embedded thunderstorms,
persist across eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas early this
afternoon. This activity should continue into the overnight, with
a gradual eastward shift in the western edge of the wet weather.

SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT...
Local Spotter Activation May Be Needed.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.
TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY...Thunderstorm Potential.
THURSDAY...No Hazards.
FRIDAY THROUGH SUNDAY...Thunderstorm Potential.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Upper level low pressure and the weak front will remain over the
region into Tuesday with continued chances for showers and storms.
The greater potential for storms Tuesday is across southeast
Oklahoma into western Arkansas before the front exits the region.
Tuesday night and Wednesday should feature dry weather before
another cold front brings additional shower and low storm chances
to the region Wednesday night. A stronger cold front looks to
move through the region Friday into the weekend, bringing
additional periods of showers and thunderstorms. A locally heavy
rain threat could develop during the weekend.
