DISCUSSION...
Thunderstorms are expected to develop this afternoon to the west
of the area and push to the east and southeast across parts of
western and central Oklahoma. The eastern edge of these
thunderstorms may move through parts of eastern Oklahoma to the
west of Highway 75 this evening. A better chance of thunderstorms
exists after midnight as additional thunderstorms develop near and
east of Interstate 35 through daybreak Sunday. Locally heavy
rainfall will be possible with any thunderstorms, leading to an
increased potential for flooding.

SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT...
Spotter Activation Not Expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.
SUNDAY THROUGH TUESDAY...Thunderstorm Potential.
WEDNESDAY THROUGH FRIDAY...No Hazards.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Thunderstorms will likely be ongoing Sunday morning across
portions of eastern Oklahoma and should spread eastward into the
afternoon. With northwest flow aloft, disturbances moving through
the region will lead to additional rounds of showers and
thunderstorms through Tuesday. A locally heavy rain threat will
continue during this time, along with a low, but nonzero,
potential for isolated severe weather. A dry period remains on
track for the middle of next week in advance of a strong cold
front set to move through the area Wednesday night and into
Thursday. A low chance of thunderstorm development exists along
the front Thursday afternoon, mainly in southeast Oklahoma.
