This Outlook is for Northwest and West Central Arkansas as well as
much of Eastern Oklahoma.

HEAVY RAIN.
RISK...Limited.
AREA...Northeast Oklahoma.
ONSET...After 6 AM.

THUNDERSTORMS WITH DANGEROUS LIGHTNING.
RISK...Elevated.
AREA...Eastern Oklahoma.
ONSET...After 6 AM.

DISCUSSION...
Shower and thunderstorm chances spread across eastern Oklahoma
today, with a slight chance of rain extending into northwest
Arkansas. Locally heavy downpours will be possible with the
strongest activity otherwise severe weather is not expected.
Additional shower and storm chances continue overnight tonight
ahead of another low pressure system dropping southeast through
the Plains.

Spotter Activation Not Expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.
MONDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...Thunderstorm Potential.
THURSDAY AND FRIDAY...No Hazards.
SATURDAY...Thunderstorm Potential.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
With northwest flow aloft, disturbances moving through the region
will lead to additional rounds of showers and thunderstorms
through Tuesday. A locally heavy rain threat will continue during
this time, along with a low, but nonzero, potential for isolated
severe weather. A dry period remains on track for the middle of
next week in advance of a strong cold front set to move through
the area Wednesday night into Thursday. A low chance of
thunderstorms exists along the front Wednesday night into Thursday,
mainly across parts of eastern Oklahoma.
