This Outlook is for Northwest and West Central Arkansas as well as
much of Eastern Oklahoma.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

No hazardous weather is expected through tonight.

SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT...
Spotter Activation Not Expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.
FRIDAY...High Wind Potential.
SATURDAY...Thunderstorm Potential...High Wind Potential.
SUNDAY...High Wind Potential.
MONDAY...Winter Weather Potential.
TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY...No Hazards.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Thunderstorm chances increase across portions of the area along
and south of Interstate 40 Friday night and into Saturday in
association with a storm system moving through the region. In
addition to the lightning potential, a locally heavy rain threat
exists Saturday, mainly across far southeast Oklahoma and into
parts of western Arkansas. Strong winds gusting 25 to 35 mph and
colder air will also accompany the storm system.

Attention then turns to the potential wintry precipitation early
next week. Depending on the track and strength of another system,
wintry precipitation and associated minor impacts may occur. The
latest trends point toward a better chance for wintry
precipitation in the Monday and Monday night time frame, with snow
favored north of Interstate 40 and rain or a wintry mix south.
However, enough spread in the available data continues to exist,
making more specific details uncertain. A low chance for minor
winter weather impacts continues across the area Monday and Monday
night.

EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PLANNING STATEMENT...
With potential for winter precipitation immediately following the
holiday weekend, keep checking the latest forecast information.
Expect details to be refined with time.
