ONSET...Late This Evening and Overnight.

overnight across much of eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas.
A few storms may become severe, especially late this evening and
overnight, with large hail being the main severe weather threat.

SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT...
Local Spotter Activation May Be Needed.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.
THURSDAY...Thunderstorm Potential...Heavy Rain Potential.
FRIDAY AND SATURDAY...No Hazards.
SUNDAY AND MONDAY...Thunderstorm Potential...Heavy Rain Potential.
TUESDAY...No Hazards.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
As an upper level storm system moves northeast towards the
southern plains Thursday, showers and thunderstorms will become
more widespread during the day and continue into Thursday night
before tapering off Friday. Locally heavy rainfall remains
possible Thursday and Thursday night. This may lead to localized
flash flooding in areas that receive the heaviest rainfall, as
well as in urban areas. Additionally, a few storms may become
strong to marginally severe during the day Thursday. An increase
in low level shear toward sunset Thursday could pose a very low
tornado threat across parts of southeast Oklahoma and west-central
Arkansas Thursday evening as the last round of thunderstorms
moves through the area.

Another upper level storm system looks to affect the area Sunday
and Monday bringing another round of showers and storms along with
the potential for locally heavy rainfall, especially across parts
of southeast Oklahoma and western Arkansas.
