...NWS Tulsa Damage Survey for 9/19/24 Thunderstorm Wind Event...

.Overview...A severe thunderstorm developed and moved into
northeastern Oklahoma from the west Thursdsay evening, September
19th. The environment ahead of the thunderstorm was characterized by
strong instability, strong downdraft instability, high cloud bases,
and moderately strong deep-layer wind shear. This environment
supported the evolution of the severe thundertorm into a supercell,
which produced large hail to golf ball size and damaging wind gusts.
A swath of damaging wind produced by this thunderstorm was surveyed
by NWS Tulsa meteorologists today, and the findings follow.

outbuildings, blew down trees, and snapped numerous large tree
limbs. Multiple recreational vehicles were rolled near Pawnee Lake.
One fatality and two injuries requiring transportation to a nearby
hospital resulted from one of the recreational vehicles rolling. The
Oklahoma Mesonet station three miles east-northeast of Pawnee
