...ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER DANGER SATURDAY...

Elevated fire weather conditions will develop Saturday afternoon
across eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas, with the most
dangerous fire weather conditions across eastern Oklahoma.

South winds of 10 to 15 miles an hour, with gusts to 20 miles an
hour, are expected Saturday afternoon. Hot afternoon temperatures
in the mid 90s to near 102, combined with humidity values of 25
to 35 percent, and the breezy winds will lead to heightened fire
weather concerns for both grassland and timber fuels, especially
for the more drought stricken areas. Remain aware of ongoing burn
bans across the area.

Avoid outdoor activities that could inadvertently start a fire,
including disposing of cigarettes properly. Report any wildfires
to local officials.
