Area Forecast Discussion
National Weather Service Tucson AZ
250 AM MST Tue Nov 25 2025

.SYNOPSIS...Warmer today with warming trend continuing to Friday
before cooler than normal temperatures return to the area Sunday
and Monday. Dry conditions through Saturday before a weather
system potentially brings another chance of valley rain and
mountain snow Sunday and Monday.

&&

.DISCUSSION...Observations over the past several hours have shown
isolate areas of patchy fog with visibilities in the 2 to 5 mile
range. Satellite was showing some isolated dense fog areas across
western Cochise county. I don`t think dense fog coverage will be
as extensive as it was yesterday morning, but will continue to
monitor satellite and observational trends in case areal coverage
of dense fog increases.

Otherwise dry northwest flow over the area today with high
pressure ridge west of the area. High temperatures today will run
4 to 8 degrees warmer than yesterday. Warmer temperatures
Wednesday through Friday before cooling to well below normal
temperatures return to the area Sunday into Monday, thanks to a
weather system potentially bringing another round of valley rain
and mountain snow to the area.

&&

.AVIATION...Valid through 26/12Z.
Isold MVFR and IFR VSBY psbl due to fog thru 25/16z. Chances are
low for fog to impact TAF sites thus fog were not included in 12z
TAFs. Otrw SKC. SFC winds terrain and diurnally driven less than
8 kts. Aviation discussion not updated for TAF amendments.

&&

.FIRE WEATHER...Dry conditions through Saturday, then a weather
system will bring a chance of valley rain and mountain snow Sunday
and Monday. Near normal high temperatures today, then up to 5
degrees above normal Wednesday through Saturday before cooling to
much below normal values Sunday and Monday. Min RH will be 30-50
percent today, dropping to 20-30 percent through Saturday, before
rising to 30-50 percent Sunday and Monday. 20-foot winds follow
normal diurnal trends with speeds 5 to 10 mph and occasional
afternoon gusts through Saturday then breezy 15 to 25 mph Sunday
and Monday.

&&

.TWC WATCHES/WARNINGS/ADVISORIES...None.
