...EXTREME HEAT WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM TUESDAY TO 8 PM MST
SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with temperatures 98 to 104
  degrees expected. Overnight lows 71 to 78 degrees. Major HeatRisk
  is expected Tuesday through Saturday with isolated Extreme
  HeatRisk.

* WHERE...Eastern Cochise County below 5000 feet, Upper San Pedro
  River Valley, and Upper Santa Cruz River Valley/Altar Valley.

* WHEN...From 10 AM Tuesday to 8 PM MST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
  extreme heat events.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in
shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat
should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an
emergency! Call 9 1 1.

Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. When
possible, reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or
evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat
stroke. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing when possible and
drink plenty of water.

  between 103 to 111 degrees and low temperatures 79 to 85 degrees.
  Major HeatRisk is expected through Tuesday and then widespread
  Major to Extreme HeatRisk Wednesday through Saturday.


* WHERE...Pinal County, Tohono O`odham Nation, Tucson Metro Area,
  Upper Gila River Valley, and Western Pima County.

* WHEN...Until 8 PM MST Saturday.
