If conditions become unrepresentative, contact the National Weather Service. .DISCUSSION...Strongest winds this afternoon will again be west of the fire area, along US18 where 20 foot winds are gusting 25 to 35 mph. Expect more terrain-variability over the fire area this afternoon and overnight, particularly after 2200. Winds will shift more easterly to northeasterly after 0200-0300 Thursday morning. Winds will increase through Thursday afternoon out of the northeast; expect winds to funnel into the fire area with stronger gusts expected (although winds will coincide with precipitation). Snow chances ramp up after 0800-1000 Thursday morning and continue through Thursday night. Heaviest snowfall rates expected to fall mid-day through the evening hours. Total snow amounts of 6-8 inches, with locally higher amounts likely by Friday morning. Total liquid precipitation around 0.5-0.75". Skies will slowly clear out by Friday evening with temperatures trending warm into the weekend with 50s to 60s expected Sunday through Wednesday. .REST OF TODAY...
