.DISCUSSION...Mostly cloudy skies are expected this morning with
decreasing clouds this afternoon. Light snow will wane this
morning, affecting only southwestern South Dakota this afternoon.
High temperatures today will range from the teens in northwestern
South Dakota to the 20s over southwest and south-central South
Dakota. Minimum relative humidities will dip into the 60s and 70s.
Northerly winds will average 10-20 mph.

...LOW FIRE DANGER...

The grassland fire danger index will reach the low category this
afternoon. Favorable weather conditions or a high moisture
content of grasses, and other dry organic material on the ground,
indicate that the probability of a fast moving fire is low.
Outdoor burning under these conditions can usually be performed
with reasonable safety precautions, but should be monitored.

The outlook for Thursday afternoon, The grassland fire danger
index will reach the low category to moderate category.
