Area Forecast Discussion
National Weather Service Las Vegas NV
1230 AM PDT Fri Oct 2 2026

.KEY MESSAGES...

* Above-normal temperatures and quiet conditions continue into
  next week as high pressure dominates.

&&

.DISCUSSION...Through Thursday

A slight zonal to ridging pattern becomes more of a pronounced
ridge over the weekend. This will continue our pattern of light
winds and warmer temperatures. The ridging pattern will fluctuate
slightly over the next week leading to some slight warming and
cooling, but temperatures will continue to be on the warmer side.
Expect highs around 5 to 10 degrees above average (the mid to
upper 90s for most of the desert valleys, getting near 110 for
Death Valley) and lows closer to 10 degrees above average (70s for
most areas and in the mid 80s at Death Valley). These conditions
last through the next work week with models hinting at a pattern
change arriving beyond the forecast period.
