.KEY MESSAGES...

* Temperatures will hover within a few degrees of normal through
  the week, with breezy conditions down the Colorado River Valley
  later this week.

&&

.DISCUSSION...through Monday.

Shortwave ridging over the area will give way to to a low pressure
system moving through the Great Basin tomorrow, which will
result in southerly breezes across the southern Great Basin on
Wednesday. Dry conditions will persist, with precipitation
chances remaining north of our forecast area. Another system will
drop into the region late Thursday into Friday, resulting in an
uptick in north winds across the region and gusty north winds down
the Colorado River Valley. A closed low will develop south of our
forecast area on Saturday, with high pressure building over Great
Basin. This will allow for north winds to linger down the
Colorado River Valley on Saturday due to the enhanced north-south
pressure gradient. These winds will result in choppy, 1 to 3 foot
waves on Lake Mohave and Lake Havasu Friday and Saturday.
Temperatures across the region will remain normal-to-slightly
cooler than normal through the work week, with normal temperatures
returning over the weekend into early next week.

.AVIATION...For Harry Reid...For the 06Z Forecast Package...Clear
skies and light winds continue through the TAF period. Expect
variable wind directions through the night but winds look to turn
more northerly into the mid morning. These winds will remain light
but turn north-northeast into the afternoon. Winds become lighter
and variable into Wednesday night.

For the rest of southern Nevada, northwest Arizona and southeast
California...For the 06Z Forecast Package...Winds stay light across
much of the region through the TAF period. The exceptions will be at
KDAG which sees gusty winds build from the west overnight but ease
into the morning, and the Colorado River Valley sites (KIFP and
KEED) which will see breezy winds from the north tomorrow afternoon
and into the night.
