  through the week with near-normal temperatures and dry conditions.

Isolated showers and thunderstorms will be possible this afternoon
across Mohave County, as the trough over the Pacific Northwest sags
just far enough south to provide instability and shear to aid in
storm development. Mesoanalysis reveals over 1,000 J/kg of CAPE
across the eastern two thirds of Mohave County. There is a north-
south oriented precipitable water (PW) gradient across Mohave
County, with PWs of 1.0 inches in northern Mohave County increasing
to 1.5 inches as you go south. Given this anomalous moisture,
isolated flash flooding will be possible with heavy storms. Outflow
winds will be an additional threat given the drier low-levels of the
atmosphere. Storms will dissipate in the evening after sunset. Low
chances for isolated convection will linger through the week for
portions of Mohave County.

As the aforementioned trough over the Pacific Northwest continues to
deepen, it will push last week`s ridge eastward. This will result in
breezy southerly to southwesterly winds across the region due to the
enhanced pressure gradient. Wind gusts will peak in the 25 to 35mph
range this afternoon, decreasing during the evening and overnight
hours. Troughiness will linger across the region through the week,
with breezy southerly to southwesterly winds picking up each
afternoon and decreasing after sunset each day. High temperatures
will fall back to near average (90s to low 100s). Low temperatures,
however, will only see some slight reduction, staying around 5
degrees above average. Temperatures look to gradually increase again
by the end of the work week as pressure begins to increase.

.AVIATION...For Harry Reid...For the 18Z Forecast Package...Breezy
south to southwest winds are expected through the afternoon with
gusts 20-25KT. South winds will diminish after sunset as gusts
should end but elevated speeds around 10KT will continue through
about 12Z Monday morning. After a brief period of southwest winds
under 8KT Monday morning, gusty south to southwest winds will return
Monday afternoon. Wind gusts on Monday will be lower than today,
remaining around 20KT. Temperatures will exceed 100 degrees between
20Z and 02Z today, then are not expected to exceed 100 degrees on
Monday.

For the rest of southern Nevada, northwest Arizona and southeast
California...For the 18Z Forecast Package...Breezy south to
southwest winds are expected through the afternoon with widespread
gusts 20-30KT. Winds will drop back this evening but will remain
elevated in many locations overnight as south winds over 10KT
persist through the night. KDAG will see winds out of the west at 10-
15KT through much of the night. After a brief lull in the winds
Monday morning, south to southwesterly winds will develop Monday
afternoon. Winds on Monday will be lower than todays, with gusts 15-
25KT. Other than isolated showers and thunderstorms in western and
central Arizona, VFR skies with no precipitation is expected through
the period.
