The National Weather Service in Las Vegas has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Central Clark County in southern Nevada...

* Until 445 PM PDT.

* At 217 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain in the Northwest Las Vegas Valley. Between 0.75 and 1.5
  inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
  to begin shortly. A rain gage near the 215 and and US-95 reported
  over 1.5 inches in the last 60 minutes.

  HAZARD...Life-threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Life-threatening flash flooding of low-water
           crossings, creeks, normally dry washes and roads.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Lone Mountain, Centennial Hills,
  Aliante, Summerlin, North Las Vegas Airport and Floyd Lamb Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
