.DISCUSSION...Isolated showers and thunderstorms will begin to
develop in the Arizona Strip this afternoon with chances for
storms at or around the Last Chance fire continuing into the
evening. Given the isolated nature of these storms, chances of
wetting rains are minimal. However, should a storm move directly
over the fire, wetting rains will be possible. Pending any erratic
winds from nearby thunderstorms, winds will favor a southwesterly
direction this afternoon with 10 to 15 mph sustained winds and
gusts 20 to 25 mph. Winds will shift to the south after sunset,
favoring a southerly direction through tomorrow morning. These
breezy southerly to southwesterly winds will allow for excellent
ventilation through the forecast period. Temperatures will top
out in the low-to-mid 80s with overnight low temperatures in the
low 60s. Afternoon RHs will bottom out in the 20 to 30 percent
range today with overnight recoveries in the 65 to 70 percent
range. Minimum RHs will improve on Monday, bottoming out in the
low 40s in the afternoon.
