.DISCUSSION...
Very wet conditions are expected across most of the West Coast
and Western Interior, with widespread rain likely bringing up to
several tenths of an inch, and in some cases, over an inch of
accumulation in most areas. In some areas, this will add to
significant totals that have already fallen. High temperatures on
Tuesday will be in the 50s on the West Coast and in the Western
Interior alike, with min RH values in the 70s or 80s percent.
Coastal locations south of the Bering Strait will see sustained
south winds up to 20 to 25 mph, with gusts up to 30 to 35 mph.
Weaker winds of 10 to 15 mph, gusting to perhaps 20 mph will be
possible across most of the Western Interior.
Rain will decrease in coverage to become more scattery/showery on
Wednesday, although some additional accumulations will be
possible. Highs will rise back into the low to mid 60s, with min
RH values still only falling into the low 60s or upper 50s in the
Interior, where winds will blow up to about 10 mph from the east
to northeast. Further warming into the upper 60s or lower 70s is
likely Thursday and Friday, with some drying and a continuing
showery type weather pattern favored.
