.DISCUSSION...
Rain continues in waves through the weekend. The bulk of the
first wave has already passed into the central and eastern
Interior but smaller showers will remain in the area until the
next larger round of rain reaches the coast Sunday morning and
reaches into the western Interior by the afternoon. Accumulations
between a half inch and an inch for the entire event except in the
Noatak Valley with accumulations between a quarter inch and half
inch. Temperatures remain cool and minimum RHs stay high. Stronger
southwesterly winds with gusts of 15 to 25 mph in the western
Interior remain through Saturday night.
