.DISCUSSION...
The Western Interior will continue with it`s warming trend on
thursday with daytime highs in the low to mid 70s warming to near
80s by Saturday. Minimum RHs across the Western Interior Valleys
will be around 23% to 27%. These low RH values are expected to
continue through the weekend. No thunderstorms are expected
through the weekend. We are watching the potential for heightened
thunderstorm activity Monday and Tuesday, confidence is low at
the moment at where thunderstorm development would be most likely.
The Coastal areas will receive another round of showers Thursday
night and into Friday morning with wetting rain expected for the
Southern Seward Peninsula and northern half of Kotzebue Sound. As
conditions dry out in the coastal areas Saturday expect daytime
highs to climb into the mid to upper 60s. Minimum RH values should
remain above 40%. Strong southerly winds up to 20 to 30 mph will
continue off and on through Sunday.
