.DISCUSSION...
Key Messages...
- Cool weather spreads across Western Alaska.
- Widespread wetting rains over half an inch across the southern
half of the Western Interior are likely through Tuesday. The
Chukchi Sea Coast sees much less rain and relatively low chances
of wetting rain.
- Southerly winds of 5 to 10 kt cross the Western Interior through
Wednesday with sustained winds in the 10 to 15 mph range. Northerly
flow of 15 to 25 mph is expected for the western coast before
winds subside on Wednesday.
- Another system arrives late in the week, bringing more widespread
rain and wind.
